Bernice Mae Skellham, 82, Reedsport, died Wed. Feb. 4, 2015 at Lower Umpqua Hospital following a brief illness.
Private Cremation Rites have been held.
Bernice Mae Skellham was born August 9, 1932 to the late George and Edith (Coonrod) Bartlett. She was raised and educated in Durhamville, New York where she attended the Verona Vernal Sharell School.
Bernice was united in marriage to LeRoy Skellham on Oct. 2, 1948 in Durhamville, NY. They made their home in several towns in New York including Durhamville and Blossvale. They moved to San Diego, Ca. then to Klamath Falls, and finally settling in Reedsport.
They worked as apartment managers in several places. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Among her personal interests Bernice enjoyed traveling from coast to coast. She loved to garden and reading in her Bible. She loved cooking and baking for her family. The family went on vacations together and she took the grandchildren to Disney Land, Six Flags and Knottsberry Farm and Sea World.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughters, Darlene Duke, Bonnie Skellham and Beverly Bartlett and one brother, Richard Bartlett.
Survivors include her children; Jean Hall, Canastoda, NY, Robert Skellham, Florence, Or., Sandra Collins, Boonville, NY, Gary Skellham, North Pole, Ak, Sherry Decker, Delta Jet, AK, Terry Harder, Reedsport, Or, Mark Skellham, Williston, ND, Michael, Skellham, Medford, Or, Rhonda Wilson, Salem, Or and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
